Claude Ponti

Seattle-Nantes Sister City Association is thrilled to be working with Claude Ponti for art installation designs in Nantes Park.

Claude Ponti, born in 1948, is a prominent and beloved French children's author and illustrator. He has authored over 70 books that have been translated into 13 languages, most recently for a 2020 Musée d'Orsay The Land of Monsters exhibit.

Ponti experience in public art, notably his work showcased at the Jardin des Plantes and the Parc de la Beaujoire in Nantes, France, will highlight French-influenced art in Nantes Park, symbolizing the intersection of the two cultures through the Sister-City relationship. Nantes Park will also represent Ponti's first art installation showcased in the United States.
